Cornerstone House, Sandbach
Outside improvements: before, during and after!

We have recently redesigned our outside play area.  We removed the old, filled in, raised beds and old artificial grass and have laid new AstroTurf for the children to play on.

Online Safety

We recently had a visit from our local PCSO’s.  They came and spoke to us about Online Safety.

Spring is in the air…

We enjoy being outside and working as a team; exploring and searching as part of our learning activity.  We noticed the spring bulbs are poking through the ground too.

Celebrating the Festive Season!

Enjoying some tuneful notes strumming the Ukulele!

Remembrance

The children had asked if we could visit the Cenotaph after learning about Remembrance Day.  We took our own poppies into Sandbach and explored the names of soldiers.

New Inventions…. sounding it out

Testing our communication skills!

Celebrating Autumn & Halloween

We love being outside collecting bugs, beasties, twigs and leaves, making bug hotels outside and autumn collages inside.  We are very excited for Halloween… not a spook in sight!

Out with the old… and in with the new!

We have improved our school site in Sandbach.
The old wobbly fence has gone!  We have two lovely new fences, a new set of car park gates and new railings to match the gates on the back wall that you can ‘see through’ so our outside space isn’t closed in.  Our outside play area has also been extended giving the children more room outside to play during beak time.

And just like that…  a new school year starts!

It’s great to be back in lessons and enjoying the last of the summer sun!

End of year fun in the sun!

We enjoyed being outside receiving our end of year awards and visited a local restaurant for a well earned treat!

Exploring features of our local area

We enjoyed being outside exploring and discovering mini beasts in the pond!

Garden & Plants

We have had fun and enjoyed being outside in the garden.  We planted seeds and now have flowers and lettuce!

Woodland Trust & Tree Planting

We have been successful in our Community Tree pack application and will be receiving 15 saplings in November this year.  We are looking forward to learning more and getting ready to plant our trees.
