I’m Katie Carter, I have worked in education setting for over 6 years. My experience covers both class based support for children in a variety of schools and outdoor education. My passion is to engage and motivate children whilst outdoors. I have trained as a forest school practitioner which enables me to work with team members to deliver an alternative to classroom learning.

I’m Amanda Whitehead a Learning Mentor for The Cornerstone Academy in Haslington. It’s a rewarding role helping disengaged children return to full time education. I have worked with pre and primary school aged children for over 12 years whilst raising a family. I have a son and daughter both studying at university. Outside of work I enjoy attending my local gym and walking my black labrador, Jamie.

Hi, my name is Shelly Daniels and I am a Learning Mentor at The Cornerstone Academy. In my career I have always enjoyed working with children, from Day Nurseries to Schools. I am passionate about education, giving all children the opportunity to learn to love learning. I am also a qualified Primary School Teacher. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, our three children and our two pet rabbits. My personal hobbies and interests include hiking, travelling, baking and painting.
