Learning Mentor / Pastoral Lead
I’m Amanda Whitehead a Learning Mentor. It’s a rewarding role helping disengaged children return to full time education. I have worked with pre and primary school aged children for over 12 years whilst raising a family. I have a son and daughter both studying at university. Outside of work I enjoy attending my local gym and walking my black labrador, Jamie.
Trainee Teacher
Hello, my name is Declan Coxon and I am a Trainee Teacher at Cornerstone Academy. This is my first step to working in the education sector after graduating from University. I thoroughly enjoy being able to help and support the students in a classroom environment. I love to stretch and challenge the students through the use of PE, allowing the students to develop their social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Outside of work, I try to take part in as much sport as I possibly can, as it has been a love and passion of mine since a very early age. I also enjoy travelling with my partner and seeing the many places our world has to offer, spending time with my family and looking after my young nephew.

Hi, my name is Gemma Plevin. I am a Learning Mentor. I have worked with children for over 5 years, starting off in private nursery and furthering my career along the way. I have a large family myself and there is nothing more rewarding in helping others where needed, encouraging them to shine. Having a busy life, I like to have a routine, keeping everything ticking over. I enjoy walks and family time making lots of memories.
