Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Safeguarding Lead & SENCO
Hi, my name is Katrina Macey. I have been teaching in mainstream schools for ten years and was previously a Special Educational Needs co-ordinator before now moving into alternative provision. My passion is to support children who find the mainstream classroom challenging and to find new and fun ways to engage them in education. Outside of school I enjoy travel and I am a keen baker. I also enjoy aerial arts, learning circus skills using the trapeze, fabrics and hoop.

Learning Mentor
Hi, my name is Val Hough. I have worked in primary school settings supporting Early Years development for over 30 years. My experience in recent years has been more in the support of whole class, small groupwork, and one to one interventions in mainstream primary education, with my focus being on booster support for core curriculum subjects and nurture interventions for emotional and social wellbeing.  I am extremely pleased to be able to join this team and to support children individually to find their talents which will enable them to be able to grow and succeed through their school journey. In my spare time I enjoy walking and spending time with my family and my two dogs.

Office Manager
Hi, my name is Anne Williams.  I have worked as a support member of staff in schools since 2001.  I worked in nursery and out of school care in Scotland and  primary & secondary here in Cheshire.   It’s nice to be working in  such a privileged position, helping to support and re-engage our children as they are our future!  I live locally with my family and my black Labrador called Bracken.  I love to garden, bake, walk the dog and read – I love reading!

Learning Mentor
Hi, my name is Karen Furnival.  I have worked in Education settings for nearly 30 years, gaining experience in mainstream, SEN, 1:1 positions and teaching & learning.  I feel privileged to be involved in our children’s journey, helping to make a difference with those who need extra support helping them succeed back into the classroom.  In my spare time I like to open lake swim, enjoy family time and Sunday walks!

Trainee Teacher
Hello, my name is Declan Coxon and I am a Trainee Teacher Cornerstone Academy. This is my first step to working in the education sector after graduating from University.  I thoroughly enjoy being able to help and support the students in a classroom environment. I love to stretch and challenge the students through the use of PE, allowing the students to develop their social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills.  Outside of work, I try to take part in as much sport as I possibly can, as it has been a love and passion of mine since a very early age.  I also enjoy travelling with my partner and seeing the many places our world has to offer, spending time with my family and looking after my young nephew.
