LATEST SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATE
Dear Parents and Carers,
Following the government’s recent announcement around school closures, as of Friday evening we will be closing the doors to the majority of children, though the government have yet to announce who the ‘Key Workers’ are, following this announcement expected on 20/03/2020 we will be in contact with specific parents about ‘key worker children’ and their schooling. If you have not had contact from the school or not been told your child will be able to attend school, please expect your child to be at home from Monday morning. Education packs and online learning resources will be supplied by Monday at the latest and please use online methods for contacting schools as phones will not always be manned.
These are unprecedented times and together we will get through it.
Please follow all NHS and Public Health England advice and stay away from all but close family as much as possible.

A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE HEAD TEACHER
At Cornerstone our aim is to re-engage the disengaged. To help children who are at risk of permanent exclusion find their way back into full time education whether that be mainstream or specialist. To enable the most disadvantaged children to discover their love of learning and in doing so massively increase their future life chances.
At Cornerstone we live by the following core principles, which run through everything we do.
- We provide a supportive and caring environment to allow all children to learn and develop in their own way to reach their full potential.
- We prepare children for reintegration into mainstream education, where it’s appropriate to do so.
- We improve each child’s behaviour and attitudes towards their peers and adults.
- We help build each child’s self-esteem, self-confidence and integrity.
I hope you enjoy looking through our website and that it gives you a taste of what we do and what we try to achieve.
